1 — What’s important to us when it comes to the financial realization of the festival?
The Formfeld is a non-profit event exclusively organized by volunteers. Our goal is to create a space that is accessible to as many people as possible. Therefore, we have decided for solidarity ticketing. Besides that, the (financial) appreciation of artistic work plays a central role. To us, the past year has highlighted the importance of paying an appropriate fee to artists and freelancers.
2 — What's behind solidarity ticketing?
Solidarity ticketing means that a guideline price of 250€ is given, which all participants would have to pay for the festival to be realized. It covers eight nights with full board (organic and vegan/vegetarian), five workshop days as well as the weekend program. Depending on the individual financial situation, everyone pays as much as he/she is able to - but ideally the indicated amount. We trust that everyone will contribute and that we can build the financial basis in an inclusive way. If this should not work out for various reasons, we will call on the participants and their friends/family to make up the difference with crowdfunding.
3 — Can you cover all costs by these contributions?
Unfortunately not. Since we have to keep the event very small because of the ongoing pandemic, the guideline amount of 250€ only covers the basics, like catering, camping site and workshop materials. To be able to pay all workshop leaders, speakers and musicians a reasonable fee, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. We are also supported by the Ehrenamtsstiftung MV.
